As Douglas Adams noticed, there is more - or sometimes less - to life on Earth than meets the eye. Embarrassment lurks round every corner, and even dying can be trickier than expected. God can perhaps explain the absurdity of everything, but meanwhile all we can do is carry on with collecting toilets or teaching our cats to paint.
